Free-to-play survival horror game Resident Evil: Survival Unit hit its second million downloads just ten days after its Nov. 18, 2025 launch.

The news was shared via a post on the game’s official X (formerly Twitter) account on Nov. 28, 2025.

Created by Capcom, Aniplex (a subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment), and Joycity, the game was launched for iOS and Android devices. Ahead of release, the title managed to surpass 2 million pre-registrations across both platforms combined.

Resident Evil: Survival Unit follows the story of an unnamed protagonist, a graduate student specializing in biotechnology who came to Raccoon City searching for his missing parents, as he awakens in a mysterious hospital after being used as a test subject by the Umbrella Corporation.

Set in a parallel world to the original series, the title features versions of characters from the original series uncovering the details of a new narrative. Among the known characters are Leon S. Kennedy, Claire Redfield, Jill Valentine, Barry Burton, Alyssa Ashcroft, Becca Woolett, Marvin Branagh, Ethan Winters, Carlos Oliveira, Ada Wong, Robert Kendo, The Merchant, Katherine Warren, Murphy Seeker, and Tyrone Henry.

A chapter of Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill that never made it to the silver screen, titled Yuki’s Revenge, will premiere in Fortnite on Nov. 30, 2025, on the day of the launch of the Kill Bill event in the game.

Tarantino filmed the chapter over 20 years after the release of the Kill Bill duology using Unreal Engine and starring Uma Thurman as her character Beatrix “The Bride” Kiddo (codename: Black Mamba).

Yuki’s Revenge was in the draft script for Kill Bill but did not make it into production. it tells the story of Yuki, the sister of Gogo Yubari, travelling to America to take revenge on Black Mamba.

Starting Dec. 5, 2025, some theaters in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom will show Yuki’s Revenge as part of an exclusive limited theatrical run of Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair.

Fortnite was released in early access mode by Epic Games on July 25, 2017, and is now playable on macOS and Windows PCs, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, iOS and Android smartphones, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2.

The game has received 21 awards in different categories across multiple industry award ceremonies.

As of August 2025, Fortnite has generated over $40 billion in total revenue since its release.

A crossover between NieR: Automata and Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is coming to the latter on Nov. 27, 2025. The collaboration between the two will include NieR: Automata skins for both Yuffie and Tifa, complete with the blindfold and black getup. They will also receive a NieR: Automata weapon skin.

The skins will most likely be available in the game’s gacha pull system, which means that they won’t be guaranteed. 2B from NieR: Automata will also be available as a boss battle. Players will also have a chance to obtain 2B’s Whirling Ravager ability upon completing Clear Panel Missions.

An event campaign is also going to be held in the game together with the collaboration. A YouTube video (inserted above) said that there will be up to 340 free draws, an event login bonus where players can earn up to 3,000 Blue Crystals, one daily free draw from the crossover gacha and event panel missions, which allow players to obtain enemy abilities.

The relationship between NieR: Automata and Final Fantasy has always been amiable. A few years ago, during the Shadowbringers expansion of Final Fantasy XIV, a full alliance raid collaboration was held between the game and NieR: Automata. This also included cosmetics like the iconic uniforms that the androids wore and their blindfolds.

Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is a mobile gacha game developed by Square Enix that is also available on PC. The game was launched worldwide on Sept. 7, 2023.

Roblox CEO David Baszucki claims that the gaming platform is amazing for kids despite the company facing backlash regarding child safety and several lawsuits.

Baszucki made the claim on The New York Times’ Hard Fork podcast, where hosts Casey Newton and Kevin Roose questioned the CEO about Roblox’s new policy to increase child safety and reduce predatory activity amid open investigations and over 20 lawsuits.

Roblox is currently facing lawsuits from various states, including Florida, Louisiana and Texas. The game was also recently banned in Iraq, citing concerns regarding child safety as one of its main reasons.

“And how do you think of the problem of predators on Roblox?” Newton asked Baszucki. “We think of it not necessarily just as a problem but an opportunity as well … At the scale we’re at — 150 million daily actives, 11 billion hours a month — like, what is the best way to keep pushing this forward?” Baszucki answered.

“It does not seem like predators are having that hard of a time getting around your filters … So, I’m curious what’s made you so confident that things are working?” Newton asked. “I don’t want to comment on it,” Baszucki said.

“It’s one of the primary things we’re doing is trying to keep people on our platform.”

“You don’t think you have a problem with predators on the platform,” said Newton. “I think we’re doing an incredible job at innovating relative to the number of people on our platform and the hours, in really leaning into the future of how this is going to work,” said Baszucki.

CEO says security is developing on pace

Baszucki described various ways the company can implement AI and checks to verify age, saying, “We have behavioral signals; we have photo ID upload signals; we have user-suggested age. But we’re complementing that with a facial age estimation signal.”

One security measure Roblox already has is screening text with a filter; however, people have found ways to obfuscate this restriction by using a hashtag “because that’s how you blur out words that aren’t supposed to be used,” Newton said.

“The state of where we are now is primarily getting into the blocking of adversarial attempts to broach the filter and adversarial attempts to try to share PII [personally identifying information], which we’re getting better and better at as well,” said Baszucki.

Newton then asked Baszucki, “How do you as the CEO … feel like we’re applying the right number of resources and they have the right error rates and we’re at a place where I’m comfortable telling parents, ‘Bring your kids to Roblox?’”

“We see all of those metrics internally all the time. They’re not publicly shared. We’re watching filter rates. We’re watching this rate. We’re watching all of that rate. Those metrics constantly get better as we add more and more AI on top of it,” said Baszucki.

At the end of the podcast, Roose asked Baszucki whether Roblox would be able to fix the safety issues plaguing the platform in a year, which is also the same time his kid would turn four. “I’m going to go more out of the box than that. Roblox is an amazing platform right now for your kid. And I’m happy to go deep with you, possibly nondisclose you, show you metrics, all of that, to do whatever it takes to get you over the hump,” the CEO replied.

Naomi Alderman, the co-creator of Zombies, Run!, bought the game, preventing its closure. In a post published on the game’s website, Alderman mentioned that she is “delighted to be taking ownership of the game,” and that “it’s me buying back the game I made and love so I can look after it.”

Zombies, Run! is a Health & Fitness app that was developed for both iOS and Android. It was released back in 2012 and became the highest-grossing app in the category within two weeks at its launch.

The game’s troubles started when the developer, Six to Start, was bought by OliveX in 2021 after the studio’s success. Earlier this year, OliveX laid off everyone at Six to Start except for two people and said that the company couldn’t afford to keep Six to Start afloat and would be shut down if the company couldn’t find a buyer, which will eventually lead to Zombies, Run! Closing down with it.

The Verge published a report regarding the situation, including comments from anonymous Six to Start employees claiming that working with OliveX has been “agony.” The staffers also said that there were disagreements between OliveX and its owner, Animoca Brands, regarding the game’s anti-capitalist themes clashing with the parent companies’ aims of creating NFT and crypto projects. The report also claimed that there might already be interested buyers.

Since the announcement, fans of the game on Reddit are finally at ease, calling the purchase good news. Alderman wrote about the purchase on The Observer, saying that she’s excited about buying Zombies, Run! For many reasons, including her love for the game’s player base.

Jinx and Vi from “Arcane” are rumored to return to Fortnite in Season 1 Chapter 7. HypeX, a trusted Fortnite dataminer, wrote an X post announcing that the two characters are returning. HypeX has announced datamined assets, future cosmetics and more with high levels of accuracy on several occasions.

Meanwhile, other Fortnite leak accounts claim that the “Arcane” intro song, “Enemy,” will be added to the game, aligning with the initial claim of Jinx and Vi’s relaunch.

Jinx and Vi were last seen in the shop in 2022; their skins are considered to be among the rarest in the game since their last appearance.

Fortnite’s Chapter 6 Zero Hour Finale Live Event releases on Nov. 29, marking the conclusion to Chapter 6 and the beginning of Chapter 7. The current Fortnite battle royale is celebrating The Simpsons mini-season.

At the time of writing, little information regarding Fortnite’s Season 1 Chapter 7 has been officially revealed by Epic Games. Brief snippets of the upcoming Chapter 7 map have been shown, teasing a desert biome and general building layouts.

In other related news, Riot Games rereleased numerous “Arcane” skins for various games, including the infamous gacha-locked Arcane Fractured Jinx in League of Legends.

The upcoming Genshin Impact Luna III is scheduled to release on Dec. 3, debuting two new characters: Jahoda and Durin. Durin is a five-star Pyro Sword wielder while Jahoda is a four-star Anemo Bow wielder. The Pyro Sword wielder can switch between dual combat modes to either support or deal damage. In addition, other new content includes winter-themed minigames, additional UGC systems, a new story, and a new mission.

To celebrate the upcoming update, the developers handed out livestream codes, as per usual. Here are the livestream primogem codes:

The redemption codes are available until Nov. 24, leaving only a couple of days before the free rewards expire. Genshin Impact also celebrated Keqing’s birthday on Nov 19. The official social media account had a short message from Keqing: 

Genshin Impact uses birthdays to increase engagement with the characters alongside the community through social media interactions. Each character’s birthday is celebrated with a unique artwork and a fitting soundtrack; the artworks are animated and dynamic.

HoYoverse recently announced a new title: open-world RPG Varsapura. Varsapura was presented with a 31-minute gameplay demo posted on its official YouTube channel.

Pokémon TCG Pocket earned “Best Game” at Google Play’s Best Games of 2025. Google said that it felt that Pokémon TCG Pocket went above and beyond, delivering an authentic version of the physical card game while retaining the joy of collecting cards.

“From flipping coins to tearing open booster packs, its well-designed effects add palpable weight and texture for a vividly tactile experience that brings the whole experience to life,” Google said in an announcement listing all the winners.

The mobile game initially released on Oct. 30, 2024, and has received a steady stream of updates through expansion booster packs. TCG Pocket recently celebrated the launch of Mega Evolutions, which have been dominating the competitive meta.

At the time of writing, Pokémon TCG Pocket is currently holding a solo event, where players can farm Mega Pidgeot EX. The card disrupts enemies with the Giant Twister Attack, which discards the defending Pokémon’s energy. But if all three coin flips are tails, the move simply fails to do anything.

A Game About Digging A Hole, commonly referred to as AGADAH, is slated for release on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch on Dec. 9, 2025, according to the announcement posted on the title’s official Steam page.

Developed by DoubleBee and published by Rokaplay and Drillhounds, the game was initially launched for Windows PC via Steam on Feb. 7, 2025. Then, in August 2025, when AGADAH surpassed a million copies sold, it launched for iOS and Android platforms.

In the game, which was designed in about 14 days, the player is tasked with digging as big of a hole as possible. While digging, players find salable ores and can purchase new or upgraded equipment like explosives or jetpacks.

As of the time of writing, the game has a “Very Positive” rating on Steam with 15,495 reviews.

The next project from the collaboration of DoubleBee and Rokaplay, titled Solarpunk, is coming in 2026 as a survival game set in a technically advanced world of floating islands.

Apple’s App Store revealed the potential release date for the upcoming free-to-play ARPG with factory simulation, Arknights: Endfield, on Nov. 21, 2025.

Besides iOS, the game is also coming for Android devices, as well as for Windows PC via Epic Games Store and PlayStation 5, however, only Apple’s App Store listing says that the game is expected on Jan. 31, 2026, which can be an approximate date and not the exact day of the title’s launch.

Developed by the Chinese developer Hypergryph, published by them in China, and published elsewhere by Gryphline, the upcoming game is a spinoff of Hypergryph’s 2019 tower defense title Arknights.

The story of Arknights: Endfield takes place on a moon called Talos-II, a world of natural disasters known as Catastrophes and crises, most notably affected by a dangerous supernatural disaster called Corruption, which causes distorted environments and abnormal physical phenomena in the affected areas. Talos-II was colonized 152 years prior to the game’s story by pioneers from Terra, accessing it through a dimensional portal known as an Æthergate, which was destroyed approximately a century before the events of the game, leaving the Terran pioneers stranded on Talos-II.

Much of Talos-II is wilderness and no-man’s land yet to be explored, and an endemic species of creatures called Aggeloi exists as the primary threat to civilization, while armed raiders known as Landbreakers live on the fringes of society, making a living off scavenging and crime.

The game allows players to take on the role of the Endministrator of the titular Endfield Industries corporation, whose Superintendent Perlica leads the rebuilding of the Protocol Recycling Department with the resumption of the exploration of the ruins by the major powers of Talos-II.
