Key points

  1. Farzeen won Clash of the Olympians without losing a set, making it a perfect tournament run.
  2. Qasim Meer fought him in the grand final but was not able to take him down, even after changing characters twice.
  3. Farzeen is qualified for the Tekken World Tour Finals Day.

Muhammad “Farzeen” Farzeen won Tekken 8’s Clash of the Olympians without losing a set, making it a perfect tournament run for the fighting game player from Pakistan. In the grand final, he fought against Qasim Meer in the tournament’s final and beat him 3-0.

Farzeen’s dominance was only offset by his matches against Qasim Meer and Kim “Kkokkoma” Mu-jong in the top eight of the tournament, where he lost one game to each of them. Despite that, he was able to close it out to get to the grand final.

He showed Qasim Meer no mercy. Qasim was looking for answers to Farzeen’s Lydia by switching characters from Azucena to Anna and finally to Zafina. However, all of them had little to no effect on Farzeen, who beat Qasim 3-0 to take the title.

Clash of the Olympians is part of the Tekken World Tour 2025 circuit as one of its Master tier events, the second-highest tier.

By winning this tournament, Farzeen took home $3,023 and 560 points for the leaderboards. Farzeen has already qualified for the Tekken World Tour Finals Day, which means he doesn’t need to fight during the group stage.

Key points

  1. Mulgold dominated LowHigh in the grand final of SOOP Super Tournament 2025.
  2. He brought out a character that he used sparingly in tournaments in Fahkumram.
  3. The next major Tekken 8 tournament will be in Athens, Greece on Nov. 15, 2025.

Han “Mulgold” Jae-gyun won Tekken 8’s SOOP Super Tournament 2025, defeating fellow Korean player and Evo champion Yoon “LowHigh” Sun-woong in a one-sided grand final where Mulgold brought out Fahkumram.

Both Mulgold and LowHigh started in the winner’s side of the top eight and met in the winner’s final, where LowHigh was able to beat him 3-1, sending Mulgold down to the loser’s bracket. There, he had to fight Lee “Edge” Ju-hyung, whom he also quickly dispatched with a 3-1 score.

Mulgold, earning his spot to challenge LowHigh once more in the grand final, opted to play Fahkumram, a character he doesn’t usually play in Tekken 8, as he mostly plays Claudio.

The choice caught LowHigh off guard and kept him off his game. Mulgold reset the grand finals bracket with a 3-0 set and closed the tournament with a 3-1 win.

The next major Tekken 8 tournament, Clash of the Olympians, will be in Athens, Greece and start on Nov. 15, 2025.

The tournament, just like SOOP Super Tournament 2025, is a master-tier tournament that is part of the Tekken World Tour 2025.

Key points

  1. JDCR won First Attack 2025’s Tekken 8 bracket and secured his spot in the TWT Finals Group Stage.
  2. He defeated Edge in the grand final after getting 3-0’d in the first set.
  3. First Attack 2025 is part of the Tekken World Tour 2025 as a Challenger-tier event.

Evo champion Kim “JDCR” Hyun-jin has secured his spot in the Tekken World Tour 2025 leaderboard after winning First Attack 2025’s Tekken 8 bracket on Oct. 26, 2025. JDCR won against fellow Korean Lee “Edge” Ju-hyung in the grand final, where a reset happened after JDCR lost three straight games.

But the Evo champion showed why he’s one of the best Tekken 8 players in the world, as he was able to formulate counterplay immediately after being quickly 3-0’d by Edge and won the reset 3-1. Other notable entrants, such as Kim “Kkokkoma” Mu-jong and Son “Qudans” Byeong-mun, were in the top eight of the tournament but were both defeated by Edge on his way to the grand final.

Qudans, in particular, has been making waves after his announcement a few years ago that he is back to competing. He’s continuing his momentum after winning the SOOP Tekken League Season 1 Finals.

First Attack 2025 is part of the Tekken World Tour 2025 as a Challenger-tier event, which is just below the Master tier. The winner of this tournament took home $1,507 and 300 points. JDCR’s finish placed him in the top 20 in the Tekken World Tour leaderboard, which then qualified him for the Tekken World Tour Finals Group Stage.

Key points

  1. Usama Abbasi won Takedown 2025, beating Farzeen in the grand final.
  2. Arslan Ash also participated in the tournament but was eliminated before the top eight.
  3. Most of the players in the top eight were unknowns on the international stage.

Usama Abbasi has defeated Muhammad “Farzeen” Farzeen at Tekken 8’s Takedown 2025 tournament in Lahore, Pakistan. Abbasi looked unstoppable until the grand final, where Farzeen quickly defeated him in the first set and reset the bracket.

However, Abbasi quickly found an answer and was able to fight back against Farzeen’s Lydia, ending the tournament 3-1 and bringing home the Takedown 2025 trophy.

A lot of strong Pakistani players were in attendance, including Evo France 2025 champion Arslan “Arslan Ash” Siddique; however, in a stunning upset, he was sent to the loser’s bracket by a Reina player called Abid Rajpoot and then finally eliminated by a Zafina player called Shehram Tariq.

Nopparut “Book” Hempamorn, another Evo champion, was also eliminated before the top eight, exiting the tournament in 17th place. He was eliminated by another strong Pakistani player, Hafiz Tanveer, who also did not get into the top eight.

What was amazing about this tournament is that most of the players in the top eight had next to zero international exposure — a sign that the region has a deep pool of talent, which struggles to compete on the international stage due to visa restrictions.

Takedown 2025 is a part of the Tekken World Tour 2025, classified as a Challenger-tier tournament, which is a tier lower than Master tier. The winner of the tournament took home $4,449 and gained 300 points in the circuit leaderboard.

Key points

  1. The Jon won Paradise Game Battle 2025 over Gosain after a bracket reset.
  2. The final set was a nail-biter that went down to the wire.
  3. Paradise Game Battle 2025 was a Master-tier Tekken 8 tournament that was held in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

On Oct. 19, 2025, Adeel “The Jon” Sheikh took Tekken 8’s Paradise Game Battle 2025 over UK fighting game player Hussain “Gosain” Shah in a nail-biter set that had the former fight for his tournament life and win in a dramatic reverse-sweep.

Both Gosain and The Jon started on the winner’s side of the top 8 at Paradise Game Battle 2025. The two met in the winner’s finals, where The Jon quickly sent Gosain down to the loser’s final by ending the set 3-0.

However, when they met in the grand final, Gosain had figured out The Jon. The games were back and forth, but Gosain was able to reset the bracket by taking the final two games, which resulted in a 3-2 victory.

But The Jon wasn’t done yet. Down 0-2 in the grand final reset, he somehow managed to turn things around and finish the tournament final with a 3-2 score.

Paradise Game Battle 2025 is a fighting game tournament held in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. The tournament happened from Oct. 18 to 19, 2025. Paradise Game Battle 2025 is a Master-tier event in the Tekken World Tour 2025 circuit. It’s one of the highest tiers, second only to Master+ events like Evo.

Key points

  1. Arslan Ash has secured his seventh Tekken Evo title.
  2. He defeated Jeondding and Qudans in the tournament, who were his demons at the Esports World Cup 2025.
  3. Arslan Ash came from the loser’s bracket.

Arslan “Arslan Ash” Siddique defeated Jeon “Jeondding” Sang-hyun at the inaugural Evo France 2025 to claim his seventh Tekken Evo title, proving his dominance by exorcising his Esports World Cup 2025 demons.

His path to the grand finals included the Tekken legend Son “Qudans” Byeong-mun, who eliminated him at the Esports World Cup 2025. He also had to fight Kane “KaneAndTrench” Heartfield, Rey Matthew “KingReyJr” Escanio and Fergus “Fergus” McGee.

Arslan Ash came from the loser’s side of the top eight, meaning that one more set loss would have sent him home. Jeondding, on the other hand, was on the winner’s side and had an easy time knocking KaneAndTrench and Fergus down to the loser’s side.

However, Arslan Ash’s seventh Evo title would not be denied, as he quickly reset the bracket with his trusty Nina. In the second set, Jeondding fought hard, being the first one to reach set point — one win away from getting his first Evo title.

Arslan Ash denied this achievement as he quickly adjusted his gameplay and caught Jeondding off guard, resulting in a swift two-game victory and his seventh Evo title.

Key points

  1. Ulsan won Tekken 8 at EWC 2025, becoming the first player to do it back-to-back.
  2. He defeated LowHigh in the grand final with a 5-2 game count.
  3. With the win, Ulsan secured 1,200 club points for his esports organization, DN Freecs.

On Aug. 16, 2025, Lim “Ulsan” Soo-hoon was crowned as the first-ever back-to-back EWC champion for Tekken 8. He defeated Yoon “LowHigh” Sun-woong in the grand final to cement himself as one of the best players Tekken 8 has ever seen.

Ulsan had a dominant performance throughout the tournament, losing only in the second phase to Kim “Kkokkoma” Mu-jong, which sent him to an elimination match against the Tekken 8 Evo 2025 champion, Arslan “Arslan Ash” Siddique. He then proceeded to eliminate both of the aforementioned players to qualify for the third phase.

In this phase, Ulsan showed just how dominant he is in Tekken 8, defeating all of his third-phase opponents with ease. His game count in the grand final against LowHigh was 5-2.

In an interview with EWC, Ulsan said that he had a rough start this year and that he “cannot imagine I would win again.” He also mentioned that his main, Dragunov, was nerfed, which gave him a lot of difficulty. Ulsan ended the interview by saying, “I’m still hungry. I just want to make myself a legend.”

Ulsan’s Tekken 8 win secured DN Freecs 1,200 club points, propelling the esports organization to 11th place in the Club Championship standings. EWC stated that, even though DN Freecs had three players in the top eight of the tournament, they only received “one lot of points.”

Key points

  1. Arslan Ash won his sixth Evo title over Atif at Evo Vegas 2025.
  2. Atif was able to reset the bracket in the grand final before Arslan Ash changed to Nina and won the event.
  3. Bandai Namco announced a new character during the event called Miary Zo.

On Aug. 3, 2025, Arslan “Arslan Ash” Siddique inched his way closer to beating Justin Wong’s record of nine Evo championships, as he won Tekken 8’s bracket at Evo Vegas 2025 against fellow Pakistani player Atif “Atif” Ijaz.

Arslan Ash’s Evo run showed nothing but dominance. He never lost a set until the very end, in the grand finals, where he fought against his Pakistani brethren. Arslan Ash entered the top eight on the winner’s side of the bracket, while Atif had to claw his way to the grand final from the loser’s side.

Upon meeting in the grand final, both players started out by using Anna Williams, one of Tekken 8’s oppressive characters currently. However, this didn’t turn out well for Arslan Ash, as Atif has been piloting the character for a longer time than him. It resulted in a 0-3 loss for Arslan Ash, leading to a bracket reset.

After that, Arslan tried the Anna one more time, to no avail. This loss backed Arslan into the corner, forcing him to go back to the main character he has been using throughout the game’s lifespan, Nina Williams. This change proved to be the missing element in Arslan’s championship formula, as he won three straight games to take Evo 2025 over Atif and claim his sixth Evo title.

During the event, Bandai Namco also announced a new character coming to the game called Miary Zo. Not much is known about the character aside from her being a fighter from Madagascar using Moraingy.

Key points

  1. Qudans has won his first big Tekken 8 tournament, taking the SOOP Tekken 8 League 2025 Season 1 Finals trophy home.
  2. He is one of Tekken’s legacy players but has not found his footing in Tekken 8 yet.
  3. Qudans won Tekken Tag Tournament’s bracket at Evo 2005.

Son “Qudans” Byeong-mun has won his first big Tekken 8 tournament, defeating his bracket demons and lifting a Tekken 8 trophy for the very first time. Qudans is one of the older players in the game’s community, having his first start in the competitive scene as a Tekken Tag Tournament player.

The Mishima savant demolished his opponents on the way to the grand final of the tournament. While he lost his first match in his group against Lim “Ulsan” Soo-hoon, he quickly bounced back to defeat Kang “Chanel” Seong-ho 2-0, leading him to a rematch against Ulsan, whom he made quick work of with another 2-0 victory. This win allowed him to qualify for the finals bracket.

There, Qudans beat the Combo Breaker 2025 champion, Han “Mulgold” Jae-gyun, Tekken 7 World Tour champion Jeong “Rangchu” Hyeon-ho and Tekken 7 CEO 2023 champion Jeon “Jeondding” Sang-hyun. Qudans beat all these players convincingly; only Mulgold took a game off of him.

In the grand final, Qudans faced off against Choi “Breadman” Min-woo, a player who grinded the game’s online fighting space. However, Qudans wasn’t going to be stopped on his way to the trophy, ending the tournament 3-1, not even allowing Breadman to reset the bracket.

Qudans, as mentioned earlier, is one of Tekken’s legacy players. He won Tekken Tag Tournament’s bracket at Evo 2005. He also won the Tekken World Tour Finals 2017 over fellow Korean player Choi “Saint” Jin-woo.
