Key points

  1. Immortals Fenyx Rising is being given away for free by Ubisoft until Dec. 2, 2025.
  2. The game is only free on Ubisoft Connect, but it is also at a discount on Steam.
  3. Immortals Fenyx Rising was initially released on Dec. 3, 2020.

Ubisoft is giving away its action-adventure RPG Immortals Fenyx Rising for free until Dec. 2, 2025.  Players simply have to go to the game’s store listing on Ubisoft Connect and then redeem it to be able to enjoy the game.

It’s worth noting that while Immortals Fenyx Rising is available on PlayStation 4 & 5, Nintendo Switch, Stadia, PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, Ubisoft is only handing out the game for free for PC players and only on the Ubisoft Connect launcher.

Coincidentally, the game is also part of the Ubisoft Super Heroes Sale on Steam, allowing players who want to buy it on the storefront to save 80% on the standard version of the game, and 75% on the Gold Edition of the game, with the latter including the Season Pass and additional digital content.

Immortals Fenyx Rising, while receiving great reviews, has faded away into the background due to its similarity to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, one of the best games released in 2017. Despite this, the game has received a generally favorable review on Metacritic during its release and a mostly positive review on Steam, even having a very positive recent review score as of the writing of this article.

  2. The console would fail to connect Bluetooth controllers or audio devices when waking from sleep mode or turning off airplane mode.
  3. The issue has been fixed in patch 21.0.1, which was released Nov. 24, 2025.

The latest Nintendo Switch 2 ver 21.0.1 update corrected an issue with the console’s Bluetooth connectivity, which previously would fail to connect Bluetooth controllers or audio devices when waking from sleep mode or turning off airplane mode. Here are the full update notes, according to the official update post

Ver. 21.0.1 (Released November 24, 2025)

  • Fixed an issue where Error Code: 2011-0301 or Error Code: 2168-0002 would repeatedly occur on a Nintendo Switch when attempting a system transfer using local communication from a Nintendo Switch system to a Nintendo Switch 2 system.

Assassin’s Creed Shadow to collaborate with hit anime ‘Attack on Titan’ in new update https://gaming.news/news/2025-11-25/assassins-creed-shadows-upcoming-update-includes-collaboration-with-hit-anime-attack-on-titan/ Assassins Creed Shadows x Attack on Titan Tue, 25 Nov 2025 08:50:22 +0000 https://gaming.news/news/2025-11-25/assassins-creed-shadows-upcoming-update-includes-collaboration-with-hit-anime-attack-on-titan/

Assassin’s Creed Shadow to collaborate with hit anime ‘Attack on Titan’ in new update

Key points

  1. Assassin’s Creed is collaborating with the anime and manga franchise Attack on Titan.
  2. This is the first time Assassin’s Creed is collaborating with an anime and manga franchise.
  3. The update will also feature bug fixes and improvements to the corrupted castles.

Assassin’s Creed Shadow’s latest update will see the franchise collaborate with the popular anime franchise “Attack on Titan.” Players are going to be tasked with the quest of preventing a power-hungry faction from unleashing the terror of a Titan on Japan during this time.

The collaboration marks the first time Assassin’s Creed is teaming up with an anime and manga franchise in-game. While Assassin’s Creed Valhalla did collaborate with the “Vinland Saga” manga in 2020, featuring a crossover with Thorfinn and Eivor Varinsdottir, Valhalla itself didn’t receive any in-game content from that collaboration.

This latest collaboration is different. Ubisoft will put up an Attack on Titan Dual Pack available for purchase from the in-game store once the update goes live.

Players interested in starting the accompanying quest will be able to start it once they go to the Yamashiro region, north of Hanzo Tower. Players will need to have Yasuke unlocked as a playable character before they can interact with the quest giver.

The upcoming patch also features numerous bug fixes and improvements to the corrupted castles.

The “Attack on Titan” collaboration is a limited-time event, which will run until Dec. 22, 2025.

It’s unclear how long the Attack on Titan Dual Pack will be available.

Key points

  1. Skate Story was delayed twice, first in 2023 and second in 2024.
  2. Sam Eng, the developer of Skate Story, won the Chanel Next Prize 2024.
  3. The award is given to individuals who are considered innovative and creative to support them.

Skate Story is finally coming out on PC, macOS, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC on Dec. 8, 2025, after a few delays. The game was supposed to be released in 2023, but was delayed to 2024, then finally to 2025.

The game’s release will also see it being added to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog, which is a rarity this year. According to a list published by DualShockers, there were only three games released on the PlayStation 5 that joined the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog on day one, including FBC: Firebreak.

Depending on the contract secured by the Skate Story’s developer, Sam Eng, this day-one addition to PlayStation’s subscription model can be beneficial, just like how FBC: Firebreak benefited from being in subscription services. Remedy Entertainment said in its previous financial statement that while the game’s launch has underperformed, it is “largely been driven by the Xbox and PlayStation subscription service agreements.”

Skate Story is a game with a unique take on the skateboarding genre. The game’s description calls the protagonist a demon in the Underworld, made out of glass and pain. Skate Story also has an art style very reminiscent of Superhot.

Eng won the Chanel Next Prize 2024 and received €100,000 in funding from the luxury fashion brand. The award is only given to innovative and creative individuals to support them.
