Key points

  1. Immortals Fenyx Rising is being given away for free by Ubisoft until Dec. 2, 2025.
  2. The game is only free on Ubisoft Connect, but it is also at a discount on Steam.
  3. Immortals Fenyx Rising was initially released on Dec. 3, 2020.

Ubisoft is giving away its action-adventure RPG Immortals Fenyx Rising for free until Dec. 2, 2025.  Players simply have to go to the game’s store listing on Ubisoft Connect and then redeem it to be able to enjoy the game.

It’s worth noting that while Immortals Fenyx Rising is available on PlayStation 4 & 5, Nintendo Switch, Stadia, PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, Ubisoft is only handing out the game for free for PC players and only on the Ubisoft Connect launcher.

Coincidentally, the game is also part of the Ubisoft Super Heroes Sale on Steam, allowing players who want to buy it on the storefront to save 80% on the standard version of the game, and 75% on the Gold Edition of the game, with the latter including the Season Pass and additional digital content.

Immortals Fenyx Rising, while receiving great reviews, has faded away into the background due to its similarity to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, one of the best games released in 2017. Despite this, the game has received a generally favorable review on Metacritic during its release and a mostly positive review on Steam, even having a very positive recent review score as of the writing of this article.

Key points

  1. Dying Light: The Beast 1.4 update is marketed as the biggest update yet.
  2. The update adds New Game+, Legend Levels, and more.
  3. The update was implemented on Nov. 27, 2025.

Dying Light: The Beast’s latest 1.4 update was published on Nov. 27, adding over 400 changes. Included within the patch update was the implementation of New Game+, where players can now replay Kyle’s story while keeping all gear, weapons, and character progression from the first playthrough. Enemy difficulty is increased, but the player will encounter higher-tier weapons and loot to match the challenge

Here are the full Dying Light: The Beast 1.4 update notes, according to the official blog post

  • NEW CONTENT
    • NEW GAME+
      • You can now replay Kyle’s story in New Game+ while keeping all gear, weapons and character progression from your first playthrough.
      • Enemy difficulty is increased, but you’ll also encounter higher-tier weapons and loot to match the challenge.
      • New Game+ can be repeated multiple times – each completed run further raises the game’s difficulty level and unlocks access to even stronger and rarer weapons, as well as the toughest enemies in Castor Woods.
    • LEGEND LEVELS
      • Legend Levels is the classic Dying Light end-game progression system that extends your character beyond the main skill tree.
      • Once you reach Level 15, all earned XP is converted into Legend XP.
      • Higher difficulty settings and higher New Game+ tiers increase XP gains, so the more you challenge yourself, the faster you progress.
      • Each Legend Level grants Legend Points that you can spend on passive upgrades such as increased health, improved combat stats and stronger Beast Mode performance.
      • Every level also raises your maximum health by a fixed percentage, helping you stay competitive in higher NG+ tiers.
      • Legend Levels also introduce a large set of new rewards to unlock: 22 new weapons (melee and firearms, including vintage guns), 2 complete outfits (12 gear pieces) and new legendary vehicle skins.
    • RAY TRACING
      • Ray tracing is now available, bringing even more realistic lighting, shadows, and reflections to the game, allowing you to experience our immersive and visually stunning world with enhanced atmosphere and depth.
      • How to enable ray tracing?
        • The suggested way to activate Ray Tracing is to set the Video Quality Preset in your game settings to Ultra.
        • If you need more tweaking you can also enable or disable individual Ray Tracing options in the Advanced Video Settings menu to balance performance and visual quality.
      • System requirements:
        • A Ray Tracing capable graphics card (NVIDIA RTX, AMD RX 6000/7000 series, or Intel Arc)
        • At least 8 GB of video memory
        • 16 GB recommended for 4k
      • Performance and Visuals
        • The game is designed so that all settings – from Low to Ultra – preserve the same core look and artistic style.
        • Ray Tracing improves reflections, lighting, and shadows, delivering more realistic visuals, though please note this may impact performance
        • If your system has trouble maintaining smooth performance, try selecting a preset below Ultra and tweak individual Ray Tracing settings for optimal results.
        • Please note when Ultra mode is enabled, Frame Generation is automatically turned on to improve frame rate.
      • VRR, V-Sync, and Input Latency
        • For best results, use a VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) display with a refresh rate of 60 Hz or higher. VRR may be labeled as FreeSync, G-Sync, or Adaptive Sync depending on your monitor.
        • If VRR is detected, the game automatically disables V-Sync to ensure the lowest input latency and smooth frame delivery.
        • If VRR is supported by your setup but disabled, please try to enable it in your system, driver settings or display settings. If VRR is not working still, please enable V-Sync manually in the game menu (Intel and AMD cards) or try enforcing it in the driver (Nvidia) to prevent screen tearing (if observed)
        • Note: Using Frame Generation may increase input lag, especially if V-Sync is on.
        • If controls feel delayed:
          • Enable VRR and disable V-Sync
          • Ensure Latency Reduction is enabled
          • If lag persists, disable Frame Generation or switch to a preset below Ultra
    • NEW FINISHERS
      • We’ve added 3 new finishers to give you even more varieties of bloody execution on enemies.
      • 1 for one-handed blunt weapons
      • 1 for two-handed blunt weapons
      • 1 for two-handed slasher weapons
    • CALL OF THE BEAST
      • With Update 1.4 just released, there’s never been a better time to jump into Dying Light: The Beast. New Game+, Legend Levels, a Double XP event, and an exclusive weapon waiting in your stash should already convince you to dive back in.
      • So don’t wait – team up with the Dying Light community to tackle this week’s challenge, focused entirely on executing brutal finishers on enemies.
      • And while you’re at it, make sure to try out the new finishers added to the game!
      • Community Challenge: Executioner
        • Goal #1: Execute 1,000,000 finishers
        • Reward: Gutsbuster Car Skin
        • Goal #2: Execute 2,500,000 finishers
        • Reward: Rascal
      • Call of the Beast Week 9 runs from Thursday, November 27 at 4PM CEST until Thursday, December 4 at 4PM CET.
      • As always, rewards will be distributed to your in-game stash at the end of the challenge.
      • To track the community’s progress and see how close you are to earning them, head to Dying Light Outpost.
  • ADDITIONAL FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS
    • Environmental & navigational fixes:
      • Resolved over 200 parkour and environment navigation issues, including climbing and ledge-grab problems, as well as blocked traversal routes.
      • Adjusted multiple environmental elements – such as monkey bars, beams and scaffolding – to improve overall parkour flow.
      • Ziplines: fixed mismatched UI/action prompts for a more consistent gameplay experience, and addressed double-jump behaviour that could cause unfair falls.
      • Vault poles: added an interaction prompt to clearly indicate they can be used (similar to ziplines or ladders), and fixed double-jump behaviour that could lead to unintended falling.
      • Fixed a blocker in the High Noon quest that prevented players from progressing due to a specific rock formation asset.
    • Gameplay:
      • Reduced XP loss in Survival Mode through a global rebalance, with additional tuning focused on early-level XP loss and Night modifiers.
      • Streamlined early-game experience:
        • Reworked stamina curves to give players more stamina at the start of the game (total stamina remains unchanged), improving early combat encounters.
        • Added a rare weapon near the first campsite during the HUB1 quest to better reward exploration.
        • Introduced minor UI updates in the Skill Menu to make basic move sets more visible.
      • Reinforcements: adjusted reinforcement amounts when players chain noise-generating actions, especially when using firearms or explosions.
      • Vehicle challenges: improved obstacle destruction logic to prevent players from being blocked by objects that should be destroyed by the vehicle.
    • COOP fixes:
      • Resolved an issue where the host could get stuck on a black screen if another player cancelled and immediately restarted a COOP challenge.
      • Fixed several cases of Convoy activities spawning in front of players.
      • Fixed instances where AI did not exit the surrender animation.
      • Fixed an issue where the Banshee could float in the air when the biters she was standing on were killed.
    • Performance & Stability:
      • Improved overall game stability by addressing frame rate drops, crashes and asserts across multiple systems, with over 35 issues resolved.
    • Graphical improvements:
      • Addressed over 70 visual issues, including incorrect textures, floating assets, clipping models and misaligned architecture.
      • Improved lighting and shadow rendering across multiple environments, including fixes for improperly lit interiors and exteriors, as well as various graphical artifacts.
    • UI and Audio:
      • Fixed a pop-up screen appearing on game launch when Epic and Steam accounts were connected.
      • Resolved discrepancies between VO and subtitles across multiple languages, with over 12 localization issues fixed.
      • Improved Quest Marker functionality by addressing multiple incorrect or missing markers.
      • Corrected instances of debug strings appearing during gameplay and fixed several UI display errors across menu sections.
      • Audio: resolved over 20 issues involving missing or incorrect sound effects, including weapon collision SFX and ambient audio during various missions.
      • Fixed several co-op audio problems, such as missing VO lines and dialogue synchronization issues.

Dying Light: The Beast was originally planned to be downloadable content for Dying Light 2: Stay Human. The now standalone game is set in the post-apocalyptic Castor Woods, following protagonist Kyle Crane. After enduring 13 years of cruel experimentation, Crane seeks revenge against his wrongdoers.

  3. Assassin’s Creed Shadows is planned for release on iPadOS at a later date, with the Nintendo Switch 2 port launching on Dec. 2, 2025.

Ubisoft excluded a second expansion for Assassin’s Creed Shadows from its release plans, as was revealed by associate game director Simon Lemay-Comtois in an interview with JorRaptor on Nov. 26, 2025.

“As of now, at this moment for Year Two, there is no expansion on the size of Awaji that is planned,” siad Lemay-Comtois.

On May 27, 2025, Shadows received additional content in the form of crossovers with Balatro and Dead by Daylight, including cosmetic items and a new quest, and on Sept. 16, 2025, the title got the first paid downloadable content pack for the game, titled Claws of Awaji.

Developed by Ubisoft Quebec and published by Ubisoft, the 14th major installment in the Assassin’s Creed series, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, is set in 16th-century Japan and focuses on the standoff between the Assassin Brotherhood and the Templar Order, allowing players to control two protagonists: samurai Yasuke and shinobi Naoe.

As of the time of writing, the game is available on macOS and Windows PCs, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with a version for iPadOS planned for release at a later date and Nintendo Switch 2 port is slated for launch on Dec. 2, 2025. Key points

  1. Update 1.4.0 for ARC Raiders added exploit mitigation mechanisms for all locked rooms across all maps on Nov. 27, 2025.
  2. The update also fixed the gun exploit that allowed players to shoot quicker than intended by swapping to a quick-use item and back.
  3. Developed and published by Embark Studios, ARC Raiders, launched on Oct. 30, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC.

Update 1.4.0 for ARC Raiders added exploit mitigation mechanisms for all locked rooms across all maps on Nov. 27, 2025.

The update landed on all platforms where the title is available, including Windows PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The update also fixed the gun exploit that allowed players to shoot quicker than intended by swapping to a quick-use item and back.

Besides that, the exterior access to Spaceport’s Control Tower locked room has been blocked off, and Raider Voice now correctly respects the selected voice option after restarting the game.

Among other changes, Update 1.4.0 fixed the issue that sometimes caused low-resolution textures in the Main Menu, fixed players being able to push each other by jumping on each other’s backs, and also fixed lighting artifacts that would sometimes occur upon entering maps.

Developed and published by Embark Studios, the third-person PvPvE extraction shooter ARC Raiders was launched on Oct. 30, 2025.

Set in the distant future on Earth, mysterious and deadly “ARC” robots have taken over the surface, forcing humanity to live underground. The game allows players to assume the role of one of the Raiders, those who choose to go above ground, also known as “the topside,” to collect resources during short runs on the topside, which then will be sorted with the assistance of their roosters for the welfare of the underground city Speranza.

The title hit the mark of 700,000 concurrent players across all platforms and sold more than 4 million copies worldwide in less than a month since launch.

As of the time of writing, ARC Raiders has a “Very Positive” rating on Steam with 133,748 reviews. Key points

  1. Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising is adding two new control schemes on Dec. 2, 2025.
  2. The control schemes are a mystery for now since the developers did not elaborate on them.
  3. Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising was released on Dec. 14, 2025.

Cygames announced in a short X post that Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising will introduce two new control schemes to the game on Dec. 2, 2025. The developers did not elaborate on what kind of control schemes are coming to the game.

As it stands, Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising doesn’t have a control scheme similar to Street Fighter 6’s Modern or Dynamic settings. While the game already has some semblances of those already being implemented in the game, such as the skill button and the dash button.

The addition of the control schemes puts the game in line with other fighting games that are lowering the barrier of entry by evolving their control schemes. Street Fighter 6’s Modern control scheme, for example, gets rid of motion inputs, making it easier for players to perform special attacks and supers.

Aside from the control scheme addition, Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising’s free-to-play version will allow players to play the whole base roster of the game for free starting on Nov. 27, 2025, until Dec. 4, 2025. This will not include DLCs such as 2B and Meg.

Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising is a 2D fighting game developed by Arc System Works and published by Cygames. The game was released on Dec. 14, 2023, and is available on PlayStation 4 & 5 and PC.

  1. Brotherhood is now available on PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and the Nintendo Switch.
  2. The game was inspired by classic 90s first-person shooters like Wolfenstein 3D.
  3. The game is available for $10.

Brotherhood, a retro-style first-person shooter game developed by FatCatGames, is now available on PC, PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox Series X|S and the Nintendo Switch. The game is very reminiscent of classic 90s first-person shooter titles like Wolfenstein 3D, which actually inspired it.

According to the lead developer of Brotherhood, the game is their love letter to the shooters that they grew up playing. “We’ve shaped the full release based on community feedback, and we’re thrilled to finally share the complete experience with players around the world,” the lead said.

The press release mentioned the following as the game’s key features:

  • 24 large, labyrinth-style levels across six distinct acts, including a brutal prison break, secret laboratories, scorching deserts, an ancient fortress, and more.
  • Classic old-school FPS combat: fast movement, tight gunplay, medkit-based healing, ammo management, keycards, upgrades, and plenty of secrets.

Alters is celebrating a major content update on Dec. 8, bringing new mechanics, customization options, and new ways for players to shape their playthrough. Part of the update is the addition of Relax Mode, a more lenient difficulty setting which was implemented as a direct response to player feedback. A new save system was added, allowing players to save upon exiting the game for extra flexibility, with autosave triggering after dialogues with other alters.

Here is what is coming, according to the official blog post

Relax Mode

“We have received a lot of your feedback about the difficulty of the game. That’s why we decided to add an additional difficulty setting for players who want to focus on exploration and story rather than survival management.”

New Save System:

We’ve heard you loud and clear, and we’re adding a rehauled save system, which now lets you save upon exiting the game for that extra flexibility. What’s more, autosave now triggers after dialogues with other alters. Please note: saves created during the playtests will not work outside of them.”

New Module – Gamer’s Den:

“A new base module designed by the Scientist. This project was loosely based on a place meaningful to every Jan Dolski. It will unlock new activities where you will be able to play Card Game and raise the mood of Jans as well!”

Card Game:

Made and tested in Jan Dolski’s kitchen on the 4th floor in our office. Now available in the Gamer’s Den. Play a new mini-game designed to add a bit of downtime and fun between your base duties!

Photo Mode:

You will be able to experiment with angles, lighting, and composition to capture that perfect shot. Recreate iconic scenes from your favorite movies or games. We’ve already seen a few attempts at Titanic-themed photos, and let’s just say Molly is always eager to join a photoshoot…

New Customization Options

Base Customisation:

Now, you will be able to personalize the exterior of every module of your base to reflect your own style! You will find them animated, and many more set designs that you can personalize to your own liking.

Spacesuit Skins:

New suit variations, letting you change your appearance while exploring the planet. We cannot wait to see your reactions specifically about: Molly Spacesuit, Frostpunk Spacesuit, and Deathowl Spacesuit!

The Alters released on June 13, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. As of writing, the title has “Very Positive” overall Steam reviews with over 10,000 users having provided input. The Alters sold 280,000 copies less than a month after its release.
